What people are saying

TransWilts organises a number of activities ranging from Try the Train events, Bingo Trains, Rail & Rambles, Station clean-ups and much more.
Here are some of the comments we have received.
Shine Friendship Cafe really had a fabulous time, the GWR staff were so accommodating and helpful assisting us boarding the train. I was amazed how relaxed Shine folk were on the train and we were all surprised how easy and accessible the journey to Weston-Super-Mare was, many folk couldn’t believe how soon we arrived.
Many of the Shine folk will definitely be repeating the trip next summer and they will definitely be more confident travelling by trains to explore their next adventures.
Sam “I felt more confident having the ramp access to get on the train. I enjoyed Bingo”.
Lily “I enjoyed train Bingo. Helped my confidence having the ramp to get on and off the train. GWR staff are friendly”.
Bronte “I enjoyed train Bingo. I feel confident getting on and off the train”.
“This was such a fantastic experience and opportunity for Fairfield students. We felt like VIPs and received five star treatment from GWR and Trans Wilts staff from the start and throughout”.

Brimble Hill School, Swindon
I did have a situation where a young woman was in tears, she was trying to say something to me but there 4 other people trying to talk to me at the same. The woman bent down and started stroking Brock and I could just hear her say this is this worst day of my life to Brock. The other people then walked on and I managed to say to the woman let’s move around to a quieter spot. There she explained she wasn’t feeling a 100% she had to go to work, but her train was late making matters worse, she said she wanted to cry but felt she couldn’t in front of everyone. I told just have a good cry and then blame it on hayfever. With that she smiled. She then started asking about Brock all the time stroking him which he enjoyed. Her train arrived she thanked me and Brock for listening and that she felt a lot better.
