When Dilton Marsh station opened in 1937 would be passengers were forced to walk uphill to a nearby house to buy their tickets. Now you can buy them from the guard on the train.

All services stop at the station by request – you need to signal to the driver if you wish to board or let the guard know if you wish to get off there.
