Extensive alterations to bus services in Bath are set to continue until the end of November.

Manvers Street opposite the city’s railway station is closed while engineers repair the road, upgrade the pavements and replace streetlamps.   The road runs over underground cellars and vaults which were overlaid with concrete slabs in the 1940s but are now starting to show their age.

The road is a main artery for bus services coming in and out of the city and so widespread diversions are in place.   Some services will no longer serve the bus station while others will take a different route into the city and approach the station from the other side of the river.

Please check your local bus company’s website for specific details of any bus you plan to take into Bath.

It is scheduled to complete the works before the famous Christmas Market starts on the 26th November.
