They are coming to a station near you! The next stage of TransWilts’ Pocket Positivity project is about to be launched.
For the last few months schools, community groups and other volunteers have been crocheting small hearts which have now been mounted on special display cards along with a selection of short messages.
The project, which was born out of last year’s Poppies to Paddington initiative*, aims to give rail travellers a boost to their day as they pass through Swindon, Chippenham, Trowbridge and Westbury stations. The hearts will be available from early August and can be picked up completely free of charge.

It is still not too late to join in the making of the hearts. If you are from a school or other community group and would like to get involved please contact Sophie Martin – sophie@transwilts.org
* Poppies to Paddington saw a Chippenham school crochet over 100 poppies which were made into a wreath and taken by the Queen to London Paddington for the annual Armistice Day service on Platform 1.
