Better reliability with TransWilts services has seen passenger numbers rise above pre-pandemic levels for the first time.
While there are still cancellations from time to time, the general trend is moving in the right direction. There is far less disruption due to crew shortages which has plagued the service for the last two years. However infrastructure problems, often on adjacent lines, and rolling stock issues do still cause trains to be cancelled.
Figures released by GWR based on ticket sales has shown a year on year growth and, looking back to 2019 before COVID, starting to better the number travelling then.
