Bus users in Swindon and parts of Wiltshire can now benefit from real time rail information as they travel towards their local station.
Swindon’s Buses and Salisbury Reds have upgraded their on board displays to include latest train times on routes which serve Swindon, Pewsey and Salisbury stations.
The information, which is updated in real time, will be interspersed with the usual next stop information. This too has been improved to include the next few stops along the route so people have more time to prepare to get off the bus.
“Many people are opting to travel by bus and train, and it’s great that sustainable transport is proving so popular,” said Swindon Bus head of communications, Nikki Honer.
“With this in mind, we’ve added live train time information to all the ‘next stop’ screens on-board our buses that stop near railway stations. We hope this will make people’s journeys easier than ever.”
