Paddy Bradley, the chair of TransWilts, has welcomed the government’s plans to combine the provision of train services and the operation and maintenance of infrastructure under one body.
The Department for Transport has launched a consultation on its proposals with comments being invited until the 15th April.
Speaking to BBC Radio Wiltshire’s Sue Davies, Paddy said while some of the finer details need to be ironed out, the initial proposals would benefit Wiltshire.
