After a month of engineering work Westbury Station reopened on time this morning (24th January) and trains, including those on the TransWilts line, are now calling there again.

Since Christmas Eve Network Rail have replaced more than 200 pieces of track and added 17 tonnes of ballast to stabilise the rails. Work has also been carried out at the station itself. Areas have been painted, new signage installed and the completion of the repairs to the roof damaged in December’s storms.
During the closure fleets of buses provided replacement services to Salisbury, Chippenham and Frome.
Two weekends in the next six weeks will see the station closed again as the works are completed.
