A reminder the line through Melksham is largely closed from Friday 27th December 2024 to Thursday 23rd January 2025.
This is to allow work to be carried out on the tracks around Westbury station.
During that time trains between Westbury and Chippenham will mainly be replaced by buses. However there will be a morning train on weekdays from Trowbridge to Swindon with one back in the evening. Journey times will be extended with the bus taking around 70 minutes to make the journey as opposed to around 25 minutes by train. Rail connections will be available to and from Swindon to connect with the buses at Chippenham.
Normal service is expected to resume from the morning of Friday 24th January.
